Question Fire Extinguisher Pics

I am getting ready to have to make the decision on where to mount my fire extinguisher in my truck. I have ne idea where to put it as I have no interior or paint right now and wanted to see where everyone else has put theirs. So lets see the safety equipment

Re: Fire Extinguisher Pics

That's where I had mine in 2 of my trucks. On my longhorn, I have it on the floor to the left of the seat... where the adjuster handle would be on a stock seat .

The one for the suburban is in the shed out back.
I should do something about that huh?

There's been to many pics posted on the board of a toasted classic Chevy because they didn't have a fire extinguisher.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Pics

My Chevelle has it screwed to the heater box in the middle of the floor, would be a good spot on these trucks too.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Pics

I have one mounted to the seat bracket on the passenger side of both of my trucks. I used to have em mounted to the driver's side bracket but my wife couldn't adjust the seat when they were mounted there. In an ideal situation your extinguisher should be mounted where it can be reached from the driver's seat while wearing your seatbelt.........Mine are obviously not mounted in an ideal location.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Pics

I don't think you want one under your hood unless you have another some where else. I have seen engine fires to where you can't even get the hood open they are so hot.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Pics

it's a little large compared to most extinguishers so I put it here and it seems to be okay for leg room and accesability.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Pics

I have one not installed yet only because it is a must to enter car shows here in south florida I just lay it on the floor during shows. If it burns let it rip that is why is insured for lots of $$$$$$

In the stock jack mount location.
Like it best beside the driver side though...
