The person I purchased my truck from said the below pic is the original bench seat (72 C10). Is there anything I can look for to make sure? What would be a reasonable price for it as is? Any takers?

I wouldn't give $10 for a seat like that, spend a little more money and get a newer one, you can get real good ones on your local junk yard for around a 100 bucks, but if you want to go stock then......

Good to know. I will start looking for a late model bench. I know that 98 and older will fit. Will 99 and newer fit?

I am also looking for a seat. Any late model Chevy truck seat
will work with a little modification.
1999-2001 Tahoe or late 90's Suburban seats are awesome.
I am looking for leather, electric, and heated..

I throw ones away like that,if they are real nice lucky to get $50-$75 but if you just really really need a seat i suppose $20,its origial interior on top,but the bottom look redone.I think the stock benches or buckets are way more comfortable than the 90's truck seats,ive been on 2-1600 mile trips in a 90 Chevy Pickup always moving around and uncomfortable,when i drove the 70 burb on the same trip,that had factory buckets it was alot nicer IMO,id recover a original bench if it was me.

I agree, you could sell the seat tracks for a few bucks, but the seat has no value. The back is original and the bottom was recovered just like DR said.
The only other thing that would make it valuable would be perfect cloth inserts. I would buy a seat that looked like below just to get the inserts for my suburban.
I also paid pretty good money for a bench seat out of a 72 Highlander edition truck. The material looked NOS. Some day it will end up as inserts on a set of truck buckets.

I was quoted a price of $300 just to redo the seat from my '69. I talked to a guy who said he had a seat from a '96, a 40-20-40 seat with power lumbar, also for $300. However, I can't use blue.

New bottom foam is about $200, replacement covers are over $250. So, if I find the right 40-20-40 seat color (black/grey/maroon) for ~$300-350, I'm gonna get it. I have looked at some 2nd row Suburban seats at swap meets, but I'm not sold on them as the seat to buy.

I just like the style - first, it seems they're cheaper than front benches; second, they look a little lower; and third, they've got a fold-down center console with cupholders.
