Re: 72 King Cab .............

I like it, the bed seems out of proportion, but I am diggin the cab. Very nice. No bids though, sign of the times I guess. No one seems to have much money, it is definitely worth the 10K starting bid.

Re: 72 King Cab .............

The rear suicide door is a nice touch. Most extended cab customs that you see just have a fixed rear cab area. Looks like pretty nice work.

Looks like they cut the bed in the front instead on the back. Definitely a nice truck, needs lowered a bit though.

Very cool. The bed needs its @$$ chopped down for sure. No good pics of the rear hinges or latches... Looks like a newer ext cab style latch/handle from what I can see.

definitely one of the best attempts at an extended cab I've seen.I especially like how the window was done.It just looks like it belongs.

I think it will look better if the wheel base was stretched and put in the middle of the bed. If that can be done.

Re: 72 King Cab .............

I agree with the others... the cab is PERFECT! I would LOVE to have that cab!

The bed... looks goofy

My fix:

1. Bob the tail to match short bed rear proportions and make it like a modern crew cab where the front of the bed is short to make up for the extra cab...

2. Extend the wheelbase/frame and add a true shorty bed (this would be my preferred method.)

Again. I LOVE that cab!

Re: 72 King Cab .............

^Yes, PERFECT!

Now assuming I had the funds I'd give 20-25K for that truck... as long as I could see extensive progress pics as the cab was built.

GM didn't make that many burbs... wonder how many more will die for beauty's like this?

True, but it dosen't look like it came from a burb. It has a low roof line. Of course that could be fixed too to make it low like a truck.

Re: 72 King Cab .............

I'm going to disagree and say that "the cab" started out as a burb.

Look at how high it is in this pic:

**I just noticed the grill is broken in this pic**

And it appears to have a gentle slope back to the "truck cab" section in this pic:

...and my truck....

On a pickup, the cab roof starts low at the windshield and gently rises to the back of the cab. On a 'burb, it just starts out high at the windshield.

It's really kind of hard to tell from the pics. Here's a picture of my CrewCab. It was built from a truck cab....
