Poll, 1 or 2
I almost placed my order tonight but I'm still not sure what to do here.
Seat #1 bolts to stock seat bracket so should fit/sit just like stock, but console and cupholders arent as nice. I dont think they look as good as #2 but not too bad looking. I think seat #2 is better looking and I think the console is much nicer, needs a custom bracket which I'm sure means the seat will sit a bit high in the cab, and costs $130 more. I think I'm going to order #2, I"m only 5'7" so the seat sitting a little higher than stock shouldnt really bother me, just my taller passengers ha ha.

Re: Poll, 1 or 2
Used to have one similar in style to #1 in my first '77 and loved it. Can't really recall if it sat too much higher but I am only 5'9 so that wasn't really an issue. Are you gonna have subs behind the seat(s)?

just a sinlgle 10" behind the passenger, I can always fiberglass an enclosure if a mdf box doesnt fit.

Re: Poll, 1 or 2
#2 looks alot like what I have in my suburban It came with a custom bracket that bolted right up to the factory holes and both seat move independently on their own tracks while the center console is stationary. It also alows me to sit further away from the steering wheel with no belly rub. I'm 5'10" 325 lbs with a 46" waist so the extra belly room is nice and the head room is the same as the factory bench seat was.

Re: Poll, 1 or 2
Wow, I figured most would like the look of the second seat. I agree that the first might fit they style of these trucks more though. I called today and turns out the first seat will cost $300 just to ship so it's definitly out now. I really dont want to sink $600+ into a nice bench (need to seat at least 3) but I hate not having a nice cup holder and something to lean on.
I'm going to look at some local yards and see what I can find, If I dont find anything by Wed/Thur I'm going to order the 40-20-40 seat ($615 shipped).

Cup holders and the cups that go in them will result in a spill. It looks to me that #1 offers enough plastic around the holders to keep stains at bay. Not to mention the arm rest is also plastic and will stay clean from dirty arm stains.

Re: Poll, 1 or 2
How about a factory seat from a latemodel truck out of a junkyard? Lots of them now have a fold down armrest with cupholders. They sell the seats similar to the photo above at the flea markets locally around here.
