Rear drum face holes?
Okay I just spent almost $200 to redo all of my trucks brakes. Had to replace the drums on the rear too. One was worn out too much to resurface.
I bought new drums and noticed they did not have holes on the face to adjust the brake cylinder. Do any manufacturers make the drums with the adjustment hole on the face? You sure can't adjust the cylinder through the hole on the back plate. Just for looks I took some flat black BBQ grill paint and painted the drums black. They looked nice all gray/aluminum looking but how low will they last that anyway? Oh, yea this is a 81 and older 12 bolt. I'm not sure of the 10 bolts of the 80's had the hole on the face of the drum. Do any of you with the 10 bolt rear end know if there is an adjustment hole on the drum face? |
