Parting 68 c20 2wd colorado
With a story that is only fitting for "springer" This truck is now being parted out.
If it looks familiar...yes...it is the one Grendel bought, I picked up for him, and is unable to get back east. Truck is being sold for parts only. I will post pix as soon as I update my photobucket acct. Some pix were taken in my driveway and others are the orig pix of when it was posted this summer. Truck details 1968 C20 2wd no engine no trans (was originally an auto) Air cab - air unit still attached to firewall gauge cluster removed glovebox door removed power drum brakes power steering - box and pump still on truck 8 lug wheels and tires good shape Cab supports and floor are solid Has rust on left rocker tailgate looks nice and straight new windshield rear slider Air cab, complete with windshield, no gauges/glove box door 400.00 doors, complete with windows and wing windows, 150.00 bed, 100.00 tailgate, 250.00 chassis, 150.00 brake booster, 45.00 power steering pump, 25.00 power steering box, 25.00 front fenders 150.00 pr grill, 35.00 radiator support,45.00 hood, 50.00 front bumper,45.00 **plus shipping** Anything else you see just post up. Would love for this to go to someone who will USE the parts. Hate to send this thing to the crusher to become a new "Maytag". Last edited by Jimmer; 10-22-2008 at 02:28 PM. Reason: add pictures |

How are the grill hoops. If shiny and really nice put me first in line.

Shipping to the great white north would be a killer I bet. I will go and inspect fenders and take pix of any possible problem areas...but off the top of my head they are nice and solid. Jim |

I know that he has a few other projects going and all ther parts will be put to good use and saved from the crusher. I apologize for getting some peoples hopes up...but in the long run...best for the entire truck to go. Nutshell: complete truck SOLD back to Ernesto! Jim |

Re: Parting 68 c20 2wd colorado
Should we start a new thread with Ernesto selling the truck now? It`s a bit muttled up right now.
Man,I had a line on that tailgate when Grendel was bringing that back east.I had a rear end he wanted and it would have been a swap.I`m building a`67 GMC from good used parts and need that gate. Now,I have another chance at it,if you are willing to ship.I definately want that tailgate.PM sent.

Re: Parting 68 c20 2wd colorado
This story had more in's and out's than back stage at a Def Leppard concert...
Let's put it this way...Truck is SOLD and delivered to Ernest...here in the Springs. Whew! Now if Grendel can get the "other" cab "situation" he has sorted out.... |

Re: Parting 68 c20 2wd colorado
My plans for this took a 360 degree change, however, in my book, if you commmit to something, its always better to follow through. Anyhow, here is a nice pickup for parts, no title, cab supports are solid, floors are solid, AC, tach dash, new windshield. driver door with panels and glass, no rust, passenger door does have a little rust, inner fenders are nice, outer fenders also nice , just surface rust right now, I would prefer to sell cab complete instead of parting it out.
