71 gmc just about there:
-Fully shaved firewall, door handles, marker lights, and gas doors -converted to a 1 ton -dana 60 in front with cross over high steering -corp 14 full floater out back w/ disc brake conversion -hydroboost for brakes -38" super swampers -1999 vortec 454 7.4l fuel injected -4l80E transmission w/ overdrive and external cooler -NP205 T-case with advanced adapter -1999 Chevy dash and steering wheel. removed old dash -blazer tank between frame rails in rear with filler neck in bed I am talking pure muscle Last edited by 71 skittle; 10-22-2008 at 07:16 PM. |

Thanks for the warm welcome..this place is the shiz..
well you asked for some pics so i will start off with what she looked like and how i got hooked. This was my dads first truck when he was 17 and handed it over as is in the picture below when i was 19 after fighting for it...now he wants it back..lol Anyway thats me when i was about 5 or 6 standing next to my uncles blue and white blazer....loved that truck...and thats how i got hooked.... I will post some more pics to the thread shortly...

some more pics for ya.. when i fully boxed the frame and built custom motor mounts i was'nt happy with the braking system so i added the hydro boost that came out of the 99 dually i got the motor out of. When doing this i decided to added the new column as well. Just before all of this i was running the old dash with the old column and driving it fine. I Had to get the new column in there..so here is what i fabbed up.
you can see the old firewall and it was hacked up by my dad back in the day...

i think i took about a foot off the dash and had to weld in some more support braces and mounting brackets. i will be removing the dash again to finalize some wiring and when i pull it out i will snap a few more shots of it..
