steering box help

I searched but could not find a definitive answer...what type lube, gear oil, grease, goes in my stock non PS box? And how do you get it in? I see the adjustment lock nut and screw..and would like to lube this old unit..70 chevy 1/2 ton
thanks......just checked under the grease buildup and noticed the lower bolt hole has the word lube by it and an arrow pointing to it...answered that part of the question..what type of lube?...thanks
