Classic Tube Brake Lines

I bought a braided stainless steel brake line kit for my truck and the fronts don't appear to want to work. Can someone tell me if you have bought from them and if I have the right stuff? It also did not come with a banjo bolt so now I have to figure that out as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think if I were to have a different fitting that goes to the caliper it would work. A 45 degree one instead of a straight one like I have.

How did you take care of it? The straight one would work if the line was a little longer.

Re: Classic Tube Brake Lines

The part that sucks is that I installed the rear line so I can't return the set. It was like 120 plus shipping when I got them. Live and you learn. Maybee I can use them on something else if they don't work. Hopefully, someone can help.

Re: Classic Tube Brake Lines

Personally I would not buy a single thing from Classic Tube. I don't mind telling anyone. Your lucky that you even received most of what you need. Just one example. Don't you think they can send you enough tubing to go from the front to the back axle on a swb truck? second example: don't you think they can ship tubing in less than 2 months. Third example: On a pre-bent kit don't you think the tubing should be bent and not straight lengths?
Thats some of the reasons we do not sell their products and sell another companys brand instead.

Re: Classic Tube Brake Lines

I know what your talking about. I called and the guy I talked to just said, Well send it back then if you don't like it. I would have, but I had already installed the rear one. Live and learn. I will not purchase from them again. However, I have this stuff now and have to make it work or eat a 120 bucks. As I am not independantly wealthy, , making it work is where I am. If you have an idea on a part you may sell, I am open ears at this point. The actual quality of the parts I have is nice, They just do not work on my truck.

Re: Classic Tube Brake Lines

We sell regular 90 degree banjo bolts. You can buy them of course at almost any auto parts store, they are like $3-$5.00 They do make brake hoses in s/stl that have a 45 degree or some degree of angle. You can get them made also to any type you want at a Hydraulic shop. GM used a 7/16 x 20 up until sometime in the 80's when they went to metric. Some cars were 3/8" I don't think they will fit your lines shown in the picture cause of the diameter of the ring. The stock bolt shoulder is 11/16" in diameter without the squish washers

Re: Classic Tube Brake Lines

I would check with inline tube cause they have the correct bolts for the kind you have.
