Bought a GMC, in the square body club now
I bought an old 81 GMC longbed, everything is original except for the 700R4 trans, even the ac works. It is a 305 truck. The quadrajet is not running well, I had to put a brake hose on it, and it needs a tune up. Here are some pics.

Re: Bought a GMC, in the square body club now
I traded it straight up for a equally nice condition older Jet Ski. I wish the truck ran as well as the boat did. I am happy with it though, I bought it to drive out to the deer lease and john boat duty, the county roads out there are well maintained but not well suited for my daily driver Z28. I plan on leaving it stock and fixing all the things on it that aren't working, like the dual tanks. I might put some all terrains on it.

Re: Bought a GMC, in the square body club now
I just finished the installation of an Edelbrock intake and carb, the dual tanks is on hold for now, the valve solenoid is $100 new. Next is a new brake booster, it is really bad. I ll post some pics soon.

Re: Bought a GMC, in the square body club now
Works great, it surges at idle but I think it has to do with the brake booster being out. The install was straight forward, the stock throttle bracket bolted up, all other accessories bolted up with little to no modification. I think the only thing I changed besides removing the evap lines was I had to cut the fittings off the brake booster line and fuel line, and attach some hose.
