99 Chevy Intro wheels on a 70!!!!!

I've been searching thru the site and I just want verify that I can fit these wheels on a 70 with all drums if I add spacers(front and rear) or if I bore out the center of the wheel to fit the larger hubs. I am planning converting to 6 lug disk up front but not for a while but in the future it would be best not to bore out right!!! Would like some feedback asap please. These are the wheels!! Not sure the exact model but looks like the Intro Pentia 6 (20x8.5).

Not trying to hijack but I'm wondering something similar. I just had some steel 18"s machined to clear the hub and after sliding one on the front I noticed the offset and back space are really good. Only problem now is my stud size is a lot smaller than the rims holes. Could that be a problem for me (us)?

Put in bigger wheel studs that fit the hole better.

Re: 99 Chevy Intro wheels on a 70!!!!!

I only say they fit good right now because I don't have a tire on the rim yet but I've got a great fit so far.

As far as drilling my drums I guess I'll have to wait till after this winter but thank you for the suggestion. That should be pretty easy on the drill press I got at home even and should only cost me the studs.

And again I'm sorry to hijack

Re: 99 Chevy Intro wheels on a 70!!!!!

the wheels on my 68 are for a newer 4x4 truck.. had to space the rear about an inch or 1 1/4 and the front about 1/2 inch... they work...

Re: 99 Chevy Intro wheels on a 70!!!!!

C10addict, you running all drums or do you have disk up front? Do you think I would have to use adapters up front instead of spacers so that the center cap fits over the spindle hub?

Disc in the front... I dont know the hub diameter of your wheel to answer your question... I had these whees cut at a machine shop for the rear axles before I realized they needed pushed out so far and they charged me $90.00 for the pair...

Re: 99 Chevy Intro wheels on a 70!!!!!

i have 5 lug rims off a 99 burb on my 67 burb with disk brakes in front and a 71-72 rearend. i had to grind the hub hole on the front rims to fit, and added 1.5" adapters to space out the rear. heres a couple of pics.
