What did you get done? Halloween edition
Friday night I hung out in the driveway with my neighbors. We enjoyed the cool fall evening and handed out candy to the kids.
I spent Saturday washing cars and doing house maintenance. I picked my beach cruiser up from the bike shop and took it for a short ride. Today I did more maintenance around the house then went to my Mom-in-laws house for the evening. What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
I did a motor/trans swap on a 2000 sunfire GT. Still got some finishing up to do, but runs and drives. Now I can get back to a project a started awhile back with my dad. Converting a 3/4 ton 2wd drive longbox to 4x4. Can't wait to get my hands on it again.
Love the wheels 87 lowrirder, and nice truck to boot. |

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
Finally finished up some brake, steering, suspension upgrades on my Dad's '62 Nova. The only truck thing I did this weekend was charge the battery on the '87 so I could move it out of the way It's taken about 6 months to finish this Nova stuff because I'm sloooow. Converted 4-lug to 5-lug, added mini-subframe, power disc brakes, 10-bolt rear from a '65, fuel tank, bushings, streering rebuild, etc...

BOO!!!!!
Cleaned all 5 of my fleet cars on Saturday. Sunday I installed the new side trim on my truck. (caution: there is a saying "you get what you pay for" after market trim is crap)

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
Only thing truck related this weekend was the 4 hour, one way ,drive in my Crewcab to west Tx. on the hunt for the white tail . My boys have a great opportunity to hunt because my brother-in-law has a place in Eden,Tx. and invites my boys to hunt .Last wekend was youth hunt and my 9yr old took a nice doe . This weekend we went back to try to get my 12 yr old his buck . His didnt get into a clean shot situation so he didnt take him but my 9 yr old took his first buck this weekend , a 10 inch spike . He may get to step up to a nice buck next year since he has proven his marksmanship . My brother-in-law manages his deer population so the bucks are not taken wildly . As a result we see nice deer constantly .

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
I worked alot. Got pissed at work alot.
Went to a costume party for a local radio station on Saturday night. Didn't really wanna go but my g/f somehow convinced me. I'm guessing her outfit (or lack there of) was what did it for me. Cleaned my throttle linkage, topped off all the fluids, and cursed my lower door panels as I broke a piece of plexi. I gotta figure some better way to mount that crap...

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
Went and picked up the 305 and transmission I bought last weekend. Turns out the trans is a 700R4, not a 200R4, that's a bonus to me.
Organized my shed so I'll have a place to store the S-10 front clip while the motor swap is going on.

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
Threw some candy at the kids Friday, but tot a whole lot on the truck, seemed like all the parts of the truck that started to go back together got held up for some reason. Did manage to get all the windows back in the cab and all the new rubbers and strips in, but not without a bit of a fight. I hate new rubbers, they make it more difficult. Also managed to get the gas tank up in place and the fuel and brake lines ran. Not to bad overall I guess, hopefully throughout the week I will get the steer column out and the pedals switched over, but we will have to wait and see what the week brings.

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
Im pulled the front clip off of the 82 so I could have room to fix all the wires and make it pretty. I pulled the motor as well to repaint it chevy orange and make it look nice. I also plan on replacing the core support and the pass side inner fender due to rust. Pics can be seen in my 2wd conversion thread here:

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
Took the truck out for a little road trip to Austin on Saturday. Unfortunately I never got there. Broke down just outside of Brenham. Had to call AAA and get it hauled home. Looks like crud in the gas tank is clogging the pickup sock, so I get to drop the tank.

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
I did absolutely nothing truck related. I did get to go with the kids trick or treating and hung out around the house. Sat. went to my oldest son's football game, first loss of the season against the only other undefeated team in the league. Looks like they will play again in the championship game if they both win their playoff games this weekend. Otherwise I did house stuff for the wife. Only have 5 more things to do before (which I can't start because she don't know what tile she wants...) I get to do what I want...

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
I installed my drivers side rocker. Beat and bent and tweaked the drivers door to get it to fit right. Flipped the cab on its front and epoxied and al's linered the underside along with my cab support. Made a HORRIFIC mess that probably wont ever come clean...
But, the bottom of the truck looks good and can now go back on the frame very soon.... |

Re: What did you get done? Halloween edition
I pulled the Holley 750 off my tan pickup and replaced it with a new Demon 650... I also replaced all the vacuum lines and routed new soft fuel lines. Top it off with a new GM air cleaner and K&N and I'm ready to finish tuning the 650. I also pulled the drums and fixed my dragging drum/parking brake hangup.
