Inner Fenders

So today was one of the first horribly rainy days here in Portland, and as I was driving the red beast there seemed to be quite the hurricane under my hood. I dont have any inner fenders, and some of the puddles I was driving through were pretty deep. My question is, how important are they? Do I need them? Is it bad for things such as my alternator to get kinda wet? I don't drive in the rain too often, but would like to be safe just the same

Re: Inner Fenders

I would play it safe and put them in you could end up with the distributer geting wet and you may end up on the side of the road standing in the rain going now were untill you get it dried out.

Re: Inner Fenders

Put them on and play it safe, even in my bucket that I only drive to car shows or car cruises I have them on just in case.

Re: Inner Fenders

OK so my next question would be where to find them. Should I just find a parts truck and try to snag them from there?

Re: Inner Fenders

They're definitely needed and you'll get lot's of gunk up into the corners of your cab and door. It'll get in places you'd never suspect- ask me how I know. I'm up that way every few months and will probably be taking a trip within the month. I'd be happy to help.
