when truck is put in gear it spins the tires
I just got the engine and trani in my truck i am redoing and tried to take it out for a spin, but when put in gear it spins the tires and takes off. I can't hardely stop it unless i put in neutral it looked like the trani fluid may be a little low, could this be the problem, or is it some thing else. Also how important is the hose that connects the booster brake cylinder to the carb.

Re: when truck is put in gear it spins the tires
I kind of have the same issue, and I think that it might have to do with "my" carb/vaccum/brakes/booster. I already know that I have issues with my carb and the choke, so it's running at a higher rpm, but sometimes when it's running at the higher rpm it will take quite a bit longer for it to stop.
bump for some answers for pete29

The hose that connects the booster to the carb is VERY important...
Without that connected you have NO vaccum for your power brakes. The whole spinning the tires thing doesn't sounds right though. I would think your blazer just wouldn't stop if vaccum were the problem. |
