The GMC Went Bye-Bye Tonight
-
Well, I finished up the GMC a week or so ago and the guy that was interested in it bought it tonight..... His boy will get it eventually but he is only fourteen now. I kinda think ole dad used that as an excuse to get it in his garage..... It came out really nice and I kind of hated to see it go. I'm not much of a 4x4 guy (especially lifted) and I bought it to finish and sell. I like 'em loooow. LockDoc

Dang I was hoping you would stay in the 4x4 club. You know, I would have led the fundraiser to buy you some steps if you would have kept it!

Re: The GMC Went Bye-Bye Tonight
I have mixed emotions about a truck that nice, especially a 4x4 going to a 14 y.o. kid... The majority are not known for taking too good of care of stuff. I don't have any kids yet, but if/ when I do, there first car will not be anything classic/ nice. I am trying to convince the brother in law/ nephew to buy a nice 68k mile, $5k 96 Caprice with an LT1 for the nephew's first car. (Only drw back there is alot of POWER, but is big and has air bags).

Re: The GMC Went Bye-Bye Tonight
Yeah, I'm 15 and I'm looking for an 88-98 C1500 shortbed fleetside, couple in my area than need some easy work done. I hate listening to my friends stories of when they are driving, they sound like idiots, "I was so nervous because I couldnt see past the bushes on the corner." That one gets me every time.

Thanks for the kudos guys. Always another truck around the corner... Hey Jeff, I would have needed steps, or shoes with springs on the bottom. thirdstreettito: Don't mind at all... I paid $4000 for it as an unfinished project, put another grand and 120 hours in it to finish it and sold it for $8000. I'm happy and I had a lot of fun doing it. The boy came over with dad and you couldn't have got the smile off his face with a belt sander. Oh, and I'm ignoring 68c15... LockDoc
