CPNEJr's 67 Short Step project finished
This was the 3rd truck we completed this summer, completely home built, including bodywork and paint (first time for both of us). This has been done since July, but just getting pics now because 2wd short wheel base Chevy's get no love here (we like the 3/4 ton GMC 4x4's)
Pics are not the best because it's put to bed in the garage for the winter, I'll let him chime in on details.

Re: CPNEJr's 67 Short Step project finished
No love for shortbed 2wds?I see it`s all snug and inside while the GMCs stay out. That`s not love?
That`s a great job you did.I`d love to have a mild little stocker like that. I`m the same way.I love all these trucks.I got into them because I liked and "needed" them. That`s how I ended up with 3/4t 4wds.But,I love the little brothers, too.

Nubs, they are 68 caps. I bought 4 NOS ones at Carlise PA years ago for $40! We have the correct 67 CST full wheel covers, but these look better in Jr's opinion. We roll nothin but dog dish caps, check out the 67 Biscayne caps on his 9C1 Caprice

Re: CPNEJr's 67 Short Step project finished
thanks guys.
there isn't anything that too special about the truck. its a 350 3 on the tree. the AC isn't hooked up becuase we didn't have all the parts. we also got covers for the seats and door panels and recovered them ourselves. this truck is definitely my baby and i have had a lot of people ask questions about it.

Re: CPNEJr's 67 Short Step project finished
I'll add a little color commentary to Jr's play-by-play:
This truck is truely a mutt built back to mostly stock using OE used or reproduction parts. The only pieces left of the original truck bought back in 1999 or 2000 is the hood, grille, both doors, gauge cluster, glove box door, gas tank, front bumper, driveshaft, inner door handles/cranks, steering column and wheel. The frame is a leaf sprung 72 GMC frame with disks up front. The rear is out of a 74 or 75 truck with 3:07 open gears. This came from NC by way of Maine. We rebuilt the rolling chassis from the ground up and added a front sway bar. The engine is a mid-70's 350 with an edelbrock 4bbl carb and HEI. The transmission is a 3 speed manual out of a 72, I parted somewhere along the line. The cab came from AZ as did the bed, but from different people. Seat is out of a 67 GMC Camper Cruiser I got in CT. Front left fender is OE used, Front right is aftermarket. Inners and radiator support are used AZ stockers off a 67 C20. Tailgate is off the 70 Chevy K20 we converted to a GMC. Rear fenders are from FL by way of VTBlazer. Over the years we collected the correct 67 CST knobs, horn button, "GM" choke delete, etc. AM radio is out of a 72 Blazer. There's more but in my advancing years I forget Completely built and painted in that garage (some before garage even existed). The AC would need a compressor and bracketry to hook up. It's for sale, for $750 takes it (Just kidding).
