Magazine Subscription Renewal Time

Okay guys... I've received what looks to be a sweet deal from Custom Classic Trucks for a 2 year subscription for only $14.99. I couldn't even buy 3 magazines for that amount, so I'll be sending a check out this week for another 2 years. I've been subscribed to many different magazines over the years and just want my money to be spent wisely.

I know that we've covered the "who subscribes to what" threads, and I'm looking for info on those mags that give you the best re-subscription offers. Kind of like how with cell phones and satelite, they tend to only give great deals to new members.... who's giving the best deal to current members?

So, which mags do you like and why? What's your subscription rate? Who's got the best articles on classic trucks for the money?

And as so many have already done, the best subscription anyone can make is to the board, so $25 will be heading to them later this year. Where else can you get the kind of information and access to parts that we have..... anyone.... no where! For anyone that has yet to subscribe, click on the link in my signature for more info.

Thanks for your help!
Nate

Re: Magazine Subscription Renewal Time

I like custom classic trucks and classic trucks but my favorite truck mag is Truck Builder.I also subscribe to Rod and Custom,Hot Rod and Car Craft. Each is different and I like eacj for a different reason.I really wish some one other than this BB would put out a cheap trick mag.Like for budget mods.It seems as if every mag is mostly a shill for the parts vendors.I got my vendor from this BB and he rocks so I really just want something that will give me cheap ways to do cool mods.

Re: Magazine Subscription Renewal Time

I like CCT, (Custom Classic), but also subscribe to Hot Rod and Car Craft, because each offers its own style of features. I like Car Craft because they seem to be pretty budget oriented, at least compared to other mags, and they do lots of cool project cars and such

Re: Magazine Subscription Renewal Time

I've been subscribing to Hot Rod since I was in HS...so I guess about 12 years.

I've gotten a lot of others in there too, but always Hot Rod. Problem is now I hardly have time to read it.

I get Classic Trucks, Street Trucks, Sport Trucks and Truckin. Truckin is going away when it runs out.

Truck Builder, Street Truck and Classic Trucks is what I get now. I will be keeping Truck Builder, Street Truck this year and dropping Classic Trucks. Classic Trucks never has anything for 73-87 trucks and very little info on some things I like. Thats just my you know what..

Re: Magazine Subscription Renewal Time

Looks like I'll be renewing my CCT subscription, and I might sign up for CT and either Street Truck or Sport Truck.

I really like the Truck Builder mag, but right now with heating costs soon to rise, I'll have to put off their mag for a while.

Re: Magazine Subscription Renewal Time

Well... I just sent off my $14.99 check to CCT for my 2 year subscription. I also decided to search out a customer service number for CT and I order their magazine for only $15.00 for a year.

There was no special offer code to get Classic Trucks for $15.00. When I was researching subscribing to CCT and CT as a new customer... if you signed up for CCT you could get CT for only $15.00/year. So, I finally (after an extensive search) located their customer service number and began my speal...

"Do you guys do anything for your existing customers??? If I were a new subscriber I could get CT for only $15, so what about if I'm a re-subscriber?"

The first person I talked with was all but helpful, so I called right back and got someone else that processed the deal for me.

I'll see if I can locate the number but it won't be until Monday as all my account info is at work.

I hope this helps you out...

Here's the number that I called and if I recall correctly, I spoke with a gentleman named Justin.

(800) 695-1970

When they answered though they mentioned a different magazine's name (Corvette something). I checked my charges on the credit card this morning and it came through as Classic Trucks, so we'll see what I receive in the mail.

Best of luck!
