Gauge Clusters

Have been thinking about putting some Autometer Ultra Lite II's in my truck but I like the recessed look of the stock gauges, anyone installed aftermarket gauges without mounting them flush on the cluster? Or does anyone make a kit or dash to do this, and of course I don't want a shiney bezel, I like the black one I have. Thanks

Re: Gauge Clusters

THAT IS SOO AWESOME! I had looked over your site and did you ever think of using epoxy to make tabs so you can mount the gauges insted of the wire? BTW did the fuel gauge work with the factory sending unit?

Re: Gauge Clusters

Ya exactly like that, seen that article earlier, been tryin to thinkin of a different way of mountin em, thinkin I could make a card board template and transfer it, if I can get a sheet of fairly thin gauge steel to do what I want it to. Same question as above too how'd the gauge work with the sending unit, I'm wantin to use full sweep gauges though, and there gonna be 2 1/16"

Re: Gauge Clusters

Unfortunately that is not my site or modification. That tech article was written by an old member (Swervin Ervin) of this forum, who hasnt been around in some time.

Re: Gauge Clusters

That cluster looks SWEEEEEEEEEEEET! Mine does not look NEARLY as clean. LOL My 5" tach & speedometer are flush mounted. Wish they were angled, but it serves it's purpose.
