Wasn't there a thread.....
Asking for pics of bagged 60-66 trucks using just drop spindles and bags or just bags alone?
I love the dropmember set-ups, but more interested right now in bagging a stock 63 frontend. Maybe adding drop spindles. Just kicking something around.

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
haha. Dude, I'm so broke. It's crazy that I'm even buying another truck since I've been laid-off since march....
But, if I don't spend some of my severance money, then I have nothing to show for it.

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
$999.00 for the dropmember plus about another $500.00 for the rest of the stuff to make it work..

THE more i look at your truck and others that sit on the ground, my wifes christmas present gets smaller and i get closer to pulling the trigger on a drop member

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
I thought you were gonna say sand through the paint in a bunch of spots, letter it up and let it sit outside and get rusty.... I love your truck!! I am ready to pull the trigger on a dropmember for my 68 but hate to blow it back apart...

I want to see just bagged stock frontend trucks. No money for anything, but I have bags already. Plus I need to do a flipkit on the rear, since its a GMC with leafs.

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
Thanks Pro, but I'm looking for bagged stock 6-lug frontends, on 15" wheels/tires.
I really wanna see how low it will go without anything done except bags. I don't think theres drop spindles for drum brakes, and I don't have immeadiate plans to convert to disc. Just wanna bag the front, do a flip kit out back with alittle notch to drive it daily.

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
HaHa..I know. Sorry
I've seen a couple pics of trucks with 6-lug, that I think are stock, because the wheels are leaned in...That leads me to think they're not on drop spindles. Just would like to know what it would look like... I'm dragging the new turd home this weekend, and wanna hit it hard. Want to be driving by 1st of May. Thanks all

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
I did this one and my 63 GMC with stock spindles, sectioned and reconfigured the crossmember ends, dropped control arms (or recess the 'bag into the arm) and channeled the 62 I Z'd the frame on the GMC 3". I dont need the dropped arms on the GMC though. Maybe I should put some stockers back on for more lift....

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
How do you fasten the bags if there is no cup. I have the drop spindles already and am ready to start work soon. Need to order my bags and trying to decide what brackets or plates I should order. I really like the way your truck sits without the cups.

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
I would think you'd get alot of rubbing with that set-up. I cut a 1/2" off my cups to tuck the bag down in there closer.

Re: Wasn't there a thread.....
