Re: Texas 60-66

In the state of Kansas you can take an old vintage plate and the DMV will validate it and allow you to use it on your classic truck. I know several people who have done it.

Maybe your state will allow the same...you should consult your state DMV to see if they will do the same.

I also know of a fellow in the Kansas City area that will restore vintage plates to DMV specifications, so it looks like your plate is brand new, even though it may be 44 years old.

Re: Texas 60-66

looks like you need to get a 64, 60-61 hood, 62 grille, 63-6 side trim and you are covered, then slap that plate on it!...

Re: Texas 60-66

I run YOM plates on my 1962 Thunderbird.

I have a '64...with a '63 Custom Grille and '62 Bowties on the extensions.
Does that count?
There is a lot more, but I wont go into it yet.

Yeah, Texas allows you to run old plates. However they have to visually inspect them before allowing anyone to use them. If they look presentable then they will register your vehicle under them.

Georgia will also allow it. Just have to find some.
