Rusty cab mount/bracket

The cab mount/bracket on my 92 1500 z71 Silverado is rusting through. Can this bracket be bought from Chevrolet?
I live in the UK so we don't have real Chevrolet dealers over hear
The bracket holds the rear of the cab to the chassis by a rubber mount and also holds the front of the bed to the chassis
the bracket is welded to the chassis

this is the mount/bracket

Maybe you could find a junk yard on here with one they'd ship to you:

Re: Rusty cab mount/bracket

I had the same problem. I took two pieces of 1/16 plate, cut them to fit the top and bottom of the bracket, cut out the centre hole and installed new mounts and bolts. Worked great and I have had no trouble with alignment. Takes a bit of work but looks good and works well. Clean up the bracket well and apply a couple good coats of rust paint and lay a layer of liquid metal on the top and bottom aof the bracket and install the cab mount. They are readily available. Slightly expensive but when you need them you need them.

Re: Rusty cab mount/bracket

The bracket has rusted right through and the rubber mount can pass through it, so as of now the truck is not safe to use

there isn't enough good metal to weld to. Is there anyone who has a parts truck or knows of one in a scrap yard and is willing to grind this bracket off and send it to me? i can pay with paypal

please help

Re: Rusty cab mount/bracket

Is it a regular cab or an extended cab? If you're patient, I could dig around for you. While you're at it, have a look at the other side. LMK.

Re: Rusty cab mount/bracket

Do you want the left or right or both? Looks like you need a passenger side mirror too!

Do you want the window seals that go along the bottom outside of the windows? (Not around the sides and top). I can get new prices for those. New mirrors are $52.00 CDN each (not GM but aftermarket reproductions). I will check with the wrecking yard for a price on the mount.

Re: Rusty cab mount/bracket

Don't the newer style (94-98) plastic mirrors bolt right up?
