finally got the old truck painted
heres the old 65 just before i primed the bed and the cab , tomorow when i get outta class i will prime the bed and cab ONE LAST TIME and lightly sand her down once more and then shootin sealer on it and then its paintin time,
hopefully my first project as a young gun turns out to be pretty good, judging by the gude coat everything sanded down evenly, torch red here i come!!!!! o and i filled that back seam from the bed to the tail light section shown in the last pic took a while but sure payed off i think it give a kinda custom look

Re: finally got some pictures to work lol
Nice progress. I took an autobody class in college and did my '66 C10. This is what it looked like in zinc chromate aviation primer. These pictures are from 1986.
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see it in "Victory Red". Last edited by LILRED66; 11-12-2008 at 12:37 AM. |

Re: finally got some pictures to work lol
the EPA is having a field day right now with that photo of you in the drive way and the paint gun!! I bet they are on google maps tracking your A#$ down. Let the try, long live the garage and drive way built vehicles! It is as American as hot dogs and apple pie.
I love the tailgate latch idea. I have been trying to find a way to get the chains off of the tailgate and that is a sweet and cheap idea. Rock on brother. |

Re: finally got some pictures to work lol
That seat belt latch idea is very cool. i don't think that's redneck at all, clean up those welds and it will be too nice to even call ratrod. do you have it on both sides or is one side enough to hold it up?
