converting to power rack and pinion?

I'm in the process of bagging my 64' c-10. I have already z'd the front clip 4" and the rear 10". I have also moved the engine/tranny back about 10". My question is: I was wanting to convert to a power rack and pinion set-up. What is the rack that I want? Mustang II? What is the rack that Porter uses? Anyone done this with the stock crossmember? Also I have narrowed my control arms 1 1/2" on each side and moved the ball joint forward 1" to center the wheel in the wheel well. Thanks for any info/pics.

Here's the rack I use with the Dropmember:

Keep in mind the location of the racks pivot points and distance between pivot points all needs to be in harmony with the control arm and ball joint pivot points and distances between them. Otherwise there will be some ill steering effects.

Not sure if this rack will even work right with your application.

Thanks there porterbuilt! Do you know if the stock chevy steering pump works well with this rack? Always have had the manual steering and this powersteering thing is new to me. Thanks again.

Here's the story everybody will tell you on the factory pump and Ford rack:

The valving in the GM pump is incorrect for the Mustang rack. There are pressure reducers you can use to correct this.

Here's what I have experienced:

On ALL the installation I have done, I have not had to use a pressure reducer... the steering felt great. The rack was not too quick, or too slow... just right. Not sure if it was mere luck... or maybe I was doing something wrong? But there was no need for a pressure reducer.
