farm and show truck build

I'm finishing up a c-25 for a friend that had a body shop work on it for some horse trades but they never would work on it, so he brought it home and hired me to work on, since my tuck gave him the inspiration to start on a square.

Re: farm and show truck build

the plans are hd coil springs and new polyurethane bushings, it already has a 3inch body lift, wheels and some where around a 33 to 35 inch tire, make the exhaust, already added jegs headers broke them in today, make diamond plate trim pieces for the interior and fire wall, put in new seats, put in new weather stripping and what ever else comes up, the body shop did do one ok thing and that was the paint job, later in the build i'll wet sand and buff

Re: farm and show truck build

thanks every body it will be somethin to see when its done, the only purpse of the truck is to pull a trailer and look good doing it, today I routed the wires through the bed for the lights witch took over 2 hours to do, and tested the lights all work except the brake lights the wires are missing from the switch, witch is no problem, i'll be getting a new wiring harness for flamingc10 soon so I will use the old wires from it, after that i'll put seat and seat belts in and then off to the muffler shop for 3" exhaust and turbo mufflers

great truck he's got there. With some work it will be really nice. About the only thing I am not sold on is the tube bumper. Not they aren't very useful but I might of cone with something more square looking.

Re: farm and show truck build

The trucks going to be a good work when I get it done, hopley the guy doesn't die on me, his health's not doing to good I finally started working on the truck again, just got sidetracked for a couple of months working on my truck, but I did get a few things replaced all the bushings and steering components, what job that was since I have never done it, also added hd springs and replace the wheel bearings, also replaced both the vent window weather stripping I will take pics Tomorrow of the progress.

I like it. The difference between that truck and my flatbed (other than color) is... THAT THING LOOKS GOOD! Mine's gonna look like crap with or without a trailer behind it!

Re: farm and show truck build

I finally worked on the truck started on the new wiring harness, so far its runs and the brake and the signals work. but a few weeks ago the owner passed away so now it will be a remembrance of him and it's going to passed on to his sun once I finish my work. by Friday I plan on finishing up the wiring, and adding the rear lift blocks

Re: farm and show truck build

the last time I saw him was when I working on his truck, so fare Ive the headlights factory gauges kinda work but they all go crazy, and the 1/8 mile trip to my house the truck was getting real hot so first thing I did was find a fan shroud but had to modify it since the truck has a 3" body lift with a little trimming on the bottom and zip ties for temporary us, and also have to find out why the driver side caliper keeps locking up

Re: farm and show truck build

today I figured out all the out side lights except I can't get the back up lights to work, also starting soldering a few connections also added heat shrink Tomorrow I plan finishing up the under dash wiring and having all the wires neatly tucked away, also plan on hooking up the after market gauges since I can't figure out the factory gauges and really don't even think they work

I finished up the wiring today I just need to get some plastic wire cover and was tired of looking at the rusted and scratched white wheels so I gave them a coat of gloss black
