I called this guy out on the 22nd
I called this guy (red mustang) out on the 22nd heads up . Let me know what you think . They killed the drag radial class , so i'll be on a slick at my "game" weight .

Re: I called this guy out on the 22nd
His best pass ever is a 6.38 . Mine a 6.44 . we are close . I told him no wheelie bars (sissy sticks) He agreed I'll be light and on a slick(vs a drag radial) . should run like a 6.20ish if i can keep the rods in the block . This one is goin down for a pair of huns . Do ya'll have this kinda deal where you race ?

Re: I called this guy out on the 22nd
We did out on Houghton rd in the late 80's, but it was called the illegals for a reason!! I think firebird and TRP in Tucson grudge night, but not sure betting is OK? If he stands it up and bounces like that you should beat him, but I'd love to see some vid of it either way!

Re: I called this guy out on the 22nd
He got the tires on that hit . it looks better than it is . I got bigger problems right now the freeze plug over the starter is leaking . i am thrashing to get it together , hoping to do battle . I went 1.40 60' the other night if you go to hotrodgossip2.com there is a video of part of the pass . the Camaro swapped lanes and there was not any $ on it so i did a brake stand . Anyway if i can get my junk together than i'll try to put on'em .

Re: I called this guy out on the 22nd
Cancelled , due to bad weather that could possibly come . Basically they don't think they can get enough spectators to break even . It's 41 tonight and a 20% chance of rain tommorow . Hard to get people out in that weather + after the hurricane there is firewood everywhere . Lots of people just stayin home when it's that cold (41 is cold for us down here we only get 14hours a year below 32 degrees) . I think im down now for the winter . Im pullin the motor next week and puttin it in the 67' . New short block should be done and heads should be at the porters shop . I'll stuff the Luv at the mother-in-laws and work on the Camaro and the 67' for a while . Need to take a break from the race budget for Christmas anyway . We'll see how long i can go without making a pass

Re: I called this guy out on the 22nd
NOT VERY LONG ! Ended up getting a call from Chris ( mustang guy ) about a 6.60 jackpot/index race . We didn't go heads up , but we ran in the semi finals . He won with a 6.62 to my 6.57 (breakout) .It was a straight up index race . Jack pot ended up being $300 and he (Chris) won it . It was a good time for sure .
