help please on gear shift selecter

Ok here I AM AGAIN WITH ANOTHER DUMB PROBLEM . I have broken the wire that comes out the steerring columm that goes to the gear selecter (automatic 350 trans. ) What can I DO ?

PROMISE TO HAVE AN INTERESTING POST ONE DAY WITH PICS MAYBE.

well you can replace the indicator but im sure being its spring loaded you could use some kind of twine and retie it.. im not sure how long it will last but hey

It broke off inside the steering columm. Indicater is completely off . was trying to put it back together when it broke / amm redoing my instrument cluster /

I broke off the little tab that you run the cable through that is slides on and JB welded it back together. That was several years ago and has worked fine.

thanks for the reply , . Iknow what you are talking about but my wire is broken off inside the steering columm. Iguess I WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE COLLUMM COVER OFF 7 see whats going on there.
