Valley makes a nice hitch that really tucks in perfect underneath on my 86. Disregard the instructions though.
Firstly you will have to move spare tire bolt to next hole forward (not an easy task) and move the bolt on other end of spare tire bracket to other hole in bracket. Then use the hole where spare tire bolt was for first of 3 holes and drill 2 forward holes for the other (the last one gets a spacer) it fits perfect then with nothing but receiver showing from rear. the hitch is tucked away underneath. I bought this hitch at Napa for a 86 chevy 1/2 ton swb. Last edited by HOGDADDY; 12-03-2008 at 01:22 PM. |
