P/S pump installation - help needed

I am just about to replace the current bodged on power steering pump and pulleys with the correct items and all new pipes on my 67 C10. Any hints and tips that may make this process easier would be welcomed. Can anyone post a pic of a correct factory installation so I can see how the P/S bracket bolts up.

How do I go about bleeding the pump once it is in? Any idea what length belts (alt & P/S) I need (350sbc, short water pump, non A/C)

Unfortunately I can't nip down the road and look at anybody elses truck as the only other trucks I know in the UK, one is non P/S and the other is half the country away.

All input welcomed.

Glad to hear you recieved the power steering pump, hoses and sutch!! Let me see if I can shed some light on it's installation... LOL
The is two holes that have been drilled and tapped on the lower, left side of your engine block, next to your timing cover. You will find that they line up with the holes that are in the cast iron pump bracket. (That is where the front section of the bracket is bolted to)
You will also have to remove the front bolt out of the left motor mount. (That is where the hole in the rear of the bracet bolts to)
Once you bolt the front of the bracket down to the engine, the rear hole will align where it needs to go. That is all that is required to bolt it in place.
Connect the hoses: You cant go wrong there, because they are different sized fittings and will only screw into where they belong and the steel part of the lines will run toward the engine and take a 90 degree bend toward the rear of the truck. Both the high and low pressure line mount to the rear of the pump just like the one you have now. (The high pressure line has the fittings at both ends.)
Attach the belt to the pullys and adjust it.
To bleed it: Fill the pump with power steering fluid and I always jack the front of the truck up untill the front tires are off of the ground. Now start your engine and turn your steering wheel all of the way from right to left a couple of times.
Now shut off your engine and take the lid off of the power steering pump and fill it to the recomended height. (about half way up the neck of the pump)
Go in the house and have some coffee, tea, or beer or something to pass the time for about 1/2 hour) LOL What that will do is allow the foam you have created to settle out.
Now that you are either wired from the coffee or tea, or giddy from the bear, go back out to you truck and check the level of the fluid add if necessary and start your truck again.
Repeat the process.... It may take a few times of this and maybe a day or two before you get all of the air out of the system, but it will eventually. It is verry important that you let the bubble settle out because you will just keep reintraducing air into the system if not. The pump will wine like a son of a gun untill all of the air is gone, but should get quieter as the process proceeds. I will post pictures as soon as we get more light around here. Wow, thanks for the instructions Wes, it all looks really straightforward. I've been trying to send you an email to let you know everything arrived today absolutely fine, but hotmail doesn't seem to like me today and kept throwing me out as did my net connection, perhaps its the rain getting into places it shouldn't! Not a drop of fluid leaked out of your packaging into the box, you can come and wrap my Christmas presents if you like LOL.

For anybody listening out there ...buy everything from Wes and thats all I have to say about that.
