Gas tank, new in box

Brand new in box gas tank for short bed.

I bought this thinking it was for a longbed so it wont work for me, asking $75 + mail.

The tank can be mounted to either side the only difference is in the sending units and the way they swing inside the tank. What the real difference is between the two sending units is I really don't know but at work they show 2 different part numbers for left & right and so does LMC truck.

Re: Gas tank, new in box

I've been down the "wrong side sending unit" road, and the difference IS the direction the float swings. If installed wrong, the unit will work, but every time you go around a corner, the gauge reading will jump like crazy.
