I went to my local Napa store this week looking for the same. All they had was some off the rack knock offs, none that would work. I ended up buying new Bendix MC on closeout from Rock Auto just to get the seal. Will have new MC on hand though if cuurent one goes out.

Re: Can someone help me find a part number for a master cylinder gasket/seal?

I wqas told by another member here that works in a auto parts store here in town that the gasket is not available seperately. I took my truck back to the shop that did the conversion to power brakes after the cylinder puked out the fluid past the gasket. Unfortunately when it leaked the fluid leaked all over my inner fender well on that side and totally ruined the paint that was on the inner fender well. Oh well, now I'll have to take both inner fender wells out and strip and repaint them here this winter. The shop that did the work though did replace the master cylinder at no charge. Although the new one leaks a bit too. I did tighten up the bail wire though and haven't checked to see how much seepage we have now. Really hope this last work fixed the seepage.

These are available at least for the big master cylinders. I just bought one off a guy on E-Bay. Don't have the part # - package anymore. It wasn't any thicker than the one on my rebuilt master cyl. so I cut some cardboard out and put under the gasket. Bending the bails like Yellow67 said is also an option.

Great idea to put something behind the gasket.........I just tightened the bail wire and have not really had a chance to drive and inspect it again since I did this. Maybe this weekend will be dry for a bit so I can test it out.
