I believe the main difference is that the Blazer buckets flip forward for back seat access.

So different floor brackets?

The passenger seat brackets are different. the Blazer seat flips forward, while the truck brackets are stationary non-adjustable. the drivers side brackets are the same for both.

Are the 72 buckets different from other years? I have a new set of blazer seat backs that do not fit the back of the seat.

69-70 are slightly different than the 71-72's...but not by much. The seat back tapers towards the top more on the 71-72's. I would think the seat backs would fit though. Are you sure they are not from 73-up? You can tell from the upholstery (if it is original upholstery) what year the buckets are.

Do you have the standard bucket seats or the "utility buckets"?
