4" leafs with 1-1/2" shackles.
Does anyone have actual measurements on how much drop you get with 4" springs and 1-1/2" shackles. Will it be 5 1/2" or a little less? Thanks in advance.

Re: 4" leafs with 1-1/2" shackles.
No measurements but pictures. I dropped the rear with 4" drop leafs and shackles (1" or 2" positions). I could only get 1" from the shackle because the leaf made contact with the bed when in the 2" drop position. Here are some before and after pics.

Re: 4" leafs with 1-1/2" shackles.
since the shackle is at the very back, you generally dont get the advertised drop amount
I would say if your leafs give you the exact 4" the the shackle should get you 3/4 to an inch more.

Re: 4" leafs with 1-1/2" shackles.
Thanks guys,
that is what I will do then. I will use the 2.5" spindles, 1" front coils. In the back use the 4" leafs and 1" position on the shackles for a 3.5/5 drop. xmitsu10 is that what you ended up doing? Yours looks just like I want mine to sit.

Re: 4" leafs with 1-1/2" shackles.
please take before and after measurements so you can determine your actual drop, lots of guys dont do the initial measurement so they are guessing what drop they have.
I see it everyday, guys with a 2-4 drop claiming a 3-5 and such.....the numbers game is silly.I have actually installed an exact 2-4 kit on a guys truck and made sure the rear shackle was in the 4" setting also and not in the 4.5 setting,my before measurments and after measurements proved an exact 2-4 drop.......once he got home and placed pictures and info on his forums of choice the truck all the sudden had a 3.5- 5.5 drop.

Re: 4" leafs with 1-1/2" shackles.
yeah I agree. Mine is pretty easy, I'm setting at 32" in the front and 34" at the back. That is center of wheel opening to the ground. thanks a million.!!!
