a little air ride help.
I was just wondering what to get for a compressor or compressors. I will have a 12gal air tank and 3/8 line. im not looking to go up and down alot but i just dont want a compressor running all the time. im not sure what i should go with i was looking at getting the combo pack of viair 480s or 380s any help... thanks alot Jake

Check out the compressor calculator. It'll give you good estimates on fill times.

With that large of a tank I would run at least a 480 dual pack. Its a nice compressor, you won't be disappointed.

480s ftw i have one 480 i rebuilt on a 7 gallon and at 150 psi and the refill time is quick but im not switch happy but when i am i run nitro

Have you considered an EDC? for a 12 gallon tank you might give it some thought...
I run 400C's on my 9 gallon tank and they fill pretty fast, but they are limited in max PSI (rated at 145psi, but I have a 175 pressure switch.... ) I am putting 380C's on my truck (actually, they are already installed) and they are rated at 200PSI with 100% duty cycle. I realize you don't *want* them running all the time, but if you go with electric, and a 12 gallon tank, they will fill a little slower anyways. You can get a York EDC installed for a few hundred bucks. |
