I'd rather have the 70something clip from the white truck next to it.

Sorry cheif to jump in on your post ......But,there's a very nice 76-78 clip for sale down the road.It has the grille, bezel's trim, bumper even the light's.I know to bad i'm up on the corner of the map.I think that's why i can't give away a real nice burb rear bumper.

Funny how the tastes have changed recently, although I like the round lights better myself.

Nice trip to the boneyard, Chief?

Re: FYI...91 Clip @ Pick-n-Pull...

Yeah, I think the 88-91 front end updates are fading out a little. I never liked em from the get go, but hey, to each his own right.

I guess I never understood why someone would want an "old" truck, only to make it look "new" by updating the front end.

Re: FYI...91 Clip @ Pick-n-Pull...

Jeff you have to think back when the conversion became popular. The 88-98 body style made the 73-87 trucks look old and tired. They weren't old like "classic" old, just old like yesterdays news.

When that front clip came along it was a cool way to update your "old" 73-87 with a modern look. In our area it was so popular, Burbs were being stolen just for the clip.

Now that a few generations of styles have gone by, the 91 clip no longer has the impact that it once did. Combine that with the 73-80 round headlight style being old enough to have a look "classic", it makes the conversion less desirable for many of us.

BTW- I mean no disrespect to those that like the 91 front end, just stating my opinion.

I haven't gone in a while...was trying to locate a 60-66 auto column shift for my 700R4 conversion, when I stumbled on a beat up 62...

Makes alot of sense to me N2.....I hear what your saying....didn't know the styles were changing for the square bodys. This past year saw a dropped Full Vert Blazer with a 90 clip...looked cool to me though....dropped hard on 24's.

Just thought I would provide some FYI...

And your intent is well appreciated. You know us 73-87 guys will debate any subject given an opportunity...

n2 is right, have you noticed not 1 convertable square body? I always thought it would be fun to have a removable hard top. My brother up in Maine had a Mazda with one, it was really fun

Re: FYI...91 Clip @ Pick-n-Pull...

Yeah Ken, I understand why it was being done...back in the 90's, but don't understand wht it is being done today. I guess those doing it just love that front end, which is cool with me, but to me, it kind of defeats the purpose of having an old truck in the first place, you are hiding it's true identity.

John, posting your finding is commended, just because we all don't like that kind of stuff, doesn't mean someone else won't appreciate. it.
