shocks

Whats your thoughts on shocks? Got a 97 5.7 1500 Seirra Z-71, GM sent Biltsteins on these trucks. Whats your folks preference?

Re: shocks

alot depends on how much you are willing to spend, and what you will be doing with the truck.

what kind of truck is it? 2wd or 4wd?

i have had good luck with rancho shocks. ran bilsteins before as well and liked them.

Re: shocks

the bilsteins are a decent shock.

rancho make quite a few shock choices to choose from.

the RSX, the RSX5000, teh RSX 9000. and up from there. depends on what you are looking to spend. IMO the 5000 is a good shock and not to expensive. for your needs, it sounds like what i would look into.

Re: shocks

I put a new set of Bilsteins on my truck. I'm very happy with them.

I got them on fleabay for $225 shipped.

I'd also like to add that the rear shocks took about 20 minutes to swap out... the front, like an hour... stupid rusted top bolts.

Re: shocks

I have run Rancho 9000s (adjustable) and also the Bilsteins. I am presently running the Edelbeock IAS shocks. they give a great ride and work real well on my 91 Silverado.
