Help! Reverse light problem
The reverse lights don't seem to work on my truck. First, I tried the obvious--busted bulb one side and no bulb in the other--so I replaced the bulbs. Now, when I hit the brakes the reverse lights come on. Since I'm feeling lazy I figured I'd ask before I started digging around. Here's my question, If I replace the backup switch will this solve my problem, or do I need to stop being lazy and follow the wire back to see if it's just hooked up to the brake lights? It would seem that their just hooked up incorrectly to the brake lights, but I just wanted some opinions on the matter.
Thanks and Happy Turkey day! Kevin

Im thinking that your sockets might be mixed up in the back or the second problem could be a ground problem and the ground is going through the bulbs rather then the chasis

He did say "loaded" when I bought the truck from him. I thought he was talking about the options. Now I know he was talk'in about himself!

Sounds like your back-up lights are connected to the brake lights. I would look underneath and see where the wires for the back-up lights tie in. Don't have the diagram in front of me, but I think the wires should be green coming out of them and they should tie in to the harness at the rear plug in the frame. Good luck, Jeff.
