Battery cable lengths
How long are the normal lengths for positive and negative cables 72 Chevy 350V8, The guy that had this truck before me put two positive cables on, one 53 inches long the other 40 inches long. I believe I could shorten them up but was wondering if there is a normal or at least common length for these cables.

The positive cable normally goes directly to the starter only. All my trucks have a remote starter solenoid, so my pos. cables are only about 18'' long.
