Help me choose which Tires??? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So I'm at a dilemma.....should I go with black walled tires for her or white lettered tires??....I have corvette rally's for it....15x8 for the front and 15x10 out back....

I need to add a caveat to my comment:

It depends on the brand of tire you are purchasing. If you are going to get El Cheapo Radials, then by all means, put the letters in (black out). If you are going to get some good BFG Radial T/A's go with letters out. There. My $.02.

Tough call, when i first bought my truck, it had some SWEET fat white letter tires on it, almost nascaresque...I searched and searched for some more that even came close, but no joy so I opted for the black out's on the low budget. I agree that some nice BFG's w/ the white letters out will look REAL NICE Clark. I know I probably didnt help at all, but it's an excuse to post another picture of my truck, so here goes!

On that truck, I say blackwalls out. You have a clean, almost shaved look going with your truck. White letters will add more dimension and take away from the cleanliness and smoothness of the truck. WLO usually tend to look better on vehicles with alot of the stock trim on them IMO.

It also depends on the tire as mentioned earlier. If you go with T/A Radials, you won't do bad either way.

Another way for you to look at it. I voted Black.

Curbs Dirt Grease Mud Shows the "Wear" of the white walled tires alot worse than the other side.

I've seen that truck in person.I would gop with the BWO but that's just me.I don't know what Geoff is thinking posting those pics.That truck is way nicer than those pics show.I agree that it is a simple almost shaved look and I think that's why it would look better BWO
