Ok Guys now that I am feeling blue today I don't have to feel guilty about asking questions... I need some help Identifying These Fans , Does any one know what these Fans are out of? The PO installed them they are Dual 12 inch and work great but I am cleaning up the wireing and I would like to go hunting for the Wire Harness so they can be wired properly and a more cleaner look. I also posted a picture of where the harness plugs into just incase someone might reginize it .The only Markings on them are "CAV-1 F 40" Thanks for the help More pictures here..http://s263.photobucket.com/albums/ii144/petey-pablo/

Re: Help Identifying These Fans

those look like the same fans I just installed in my truck. I got mine from a '93 camaro. I will be going up to my inlaws for turkey day(that's where my truck sits) and check the numbers. I will let you know as soon as I find out.

Re: Help Identifying These Fans

Thanks harrdawg54 any help is apreciated.. You know how it is no body wants messy wires and me personaly I think its more safe to have all the wires secured properly and make it a cleaner install.... I could just go to the Junkyard and check as many vehicles as I could to try to find a harness that would work but that could take hours...... Anyone else have any Ideas please feel free to help out,

Re: Help Identifying These Fans

There was a post awhile back on these. I don't remember what they are from but the open areas on the top and bottom of the fans are supposed to have rubber flaps. It lets the air thru at hiway speed and they close when the fans come on so all the air goes thru the radiator and not bypass thru the openings. I can't remember if they were going into a suburban or from one.

Re: Help Identifying These Fans

Any word on what these are out of? Me likes. Looks like they fit good also. I just did the Jeep mod that fits in the shroud and although it isn't causing any problems it doesn't seem to move a lot of air.

Re: Help Identifying These Fans

Thanks A.P they seem to match and you might be right harrdawg54 and tphsmith I was looking around this weekend after harrdawg54 gave me something to go by So I checked out the 93 Camaro and what did I find a simularity to my fans and apon futher online seaches I found out that you guys might be right 93-97 Camaro/Firebird..I even checked gmpartsdirect.com under 93 Camaro v8 and they had a nice illustration..So I went to the junkyard and I did't find any 93-97 Camaro or Firebirds anywhere BUT I did Find a 95 Monte Carlo So I pulled the harness off The Fans and mached them up and they fit perfectly, So now I will be wireing these up the propper way.. Thanks everyone for your help.. Heres a picture of a used set I found on Ebay for $99 FREE shipping at lease thats what it says if any one is interested Not mine of course But as we all can see they fit great...Oh and by the way anyone have a wireing diagram on how is the best way to wire these two fans with relays thanks
