Suburban axles for truck?

I have an opportunity to get a 14BFF and a 8 lug 10 bolt front out of a suburban, and I'm wondering if they will bolt right up to a pickup. I know I'll have to shorten my driveshaft for the longer pinion, but what about spring perch locations? Are the springs the same width between pickups and suburbans?

Yes, I did. I searched for "suburban axle" and it brought up a lot of posts about about making dually suburbans and which axle to run, but nothing about the perch locations. Maybe you could give me better search terms that might lead me to the extensive post? I understand it's annoying to discuss the same topic multiple times...

Re: Suburban axles for truck?

If anybody else happened to be wondering the same thing, I went to the junkyard with a tape measure... Suburbans and 1/2 and 3/4 trucks have the same perch locations, it was roughly 42.5" but 1 ton trucks and a 5/4 ton CUCV I measured were narrower at 40". It looked like the spring hangers were different, and you could swap spring hangers to match whatever axle you found possibly easier than moving the perches on the axle.
So, yes the suburban axles will work in my short bed.

Re: Suburban axles for truck?

This was all referring to the rear axle, the fronts were all the same.
