Cool Looks like I am getting another Teeeeruck

Well looks like I am getting a 1977 K10. Truck has a V8 (not sure if 305 or 350) auto trans (guessing th350) and a Np203. She runs great and I love how simple this truck is. No power BS, crank windows, non tilt, no a/c. She does have PS and PB which is all the power options I need. the truck has 29,XXX on it and came from PA. The story goes it was bought by the current owners grandfather to use as his farm truck. He got it with a nice black with red pin stripe paint job and took it to the paint shop and had it painted that lovely 70's metallic green to keep it from being stolen. He added wagon wheels large tires and that is it. It got dented dinged and the rust worm took over. IT has been parked for 7 years until I cam along.

I am embarrassed to say I never checked the axles to see what bolt set up but I know it is a half ton. There was no sheet in the glove box and I was too busy checking the frame for rot and the steering area for stress cracks.

She has a factory red dash that is beyond MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also has sport mirrors.

But like I said it is a farm truck so the exhaust is rotted off after the Y pipe, the body is littered with dings and dents, the electrical mostly works, both bumpers are bent and the Mouth is missing a few teeth.

Plans will include general clean up, fix grill and bumpers, make it pass inspection and then maybe sheet metal and a fresh coat of the green paint. In the future maybe a 4 inch lift. I was impressed with how thick and beefy the spring mounts on these trucks is . Could it be an HD model? It had single front shocks. Any guess on the motor?

So what did I pay? Well I am trading this for the truck:

Can't wait to have a truck I can take in the woods and drive in the winter with out worrying about salt and scratching the paint

Re: Looks like I am getting another Teeeeruck

yeah It is killing me to let it go. But The truck would be more fun off road and probably more use full. The area by the gear shift is a great place to hold a can of bud. I have a lot of time and good memories invested in that little tractor.........
