Re: chrome rallys
I had a set on my 87 c-10. *s in the front and 10s in the rear. Looked sick, I like 'em. Sorry, no pics though.

Re: chrome rallys
I've got something very similar to that on my '68. The slots are not quite as large but they are 17" chrome ralleys. I will get some pics this weekend... It's dark by the time I get home these days.

Re: chrome rallys
Thanks guys,
The price is definately right on these. But I'm looking around..... our bolt pattern is 5 on 5 correct? I'm not finding many places that offer this wheel with that bolt pattern.... looking for 15X8 and 15X10 Last edited by Mondo; 12-04-2008 at 02:45 AM. |

Re: chrome rallys
I had some, never installed them. After seeing them on another truck, I felt they looked a little cheesey, so I traded for truck rallys.

Re: chrome rallys
I've never been crazy about the solid chrome rallies. I think I agree with Andy and think they look cheesy or generic. I guess I'm too traditional and just like the silver on rallies. Different strokes for different folks though. If YOU like them that's what really matters.
Have you checked with www.summitracing.com or www.newstalgiawheel.com

Re: chrome rallys
they look too blah... plus, the back spacing... or maybe the shape,... something doesn't look right to me.
Generic is a good way to say it.... i am NOT tryin to diss anyone's ride here... just for the record. |

I had them on my '67 for several years but it's important that you keep up on the chrome and wax them well. I didn't and they sat for almost a year outside and started rusting- not bad, but I notice it. They're now on my '68 and look great as long as I'm moving. I like them, but because they've got some rust, I'll either chemically strip them and paint them silver or just sell them cheap and get new wheels. I think the ones above look really good!

Re: chrome rallys
Thanks,
I like them... going for a clean look (and cheap). Coys are my first choice but I can see that I'm going to be a little strapped for cash for a while. |

Re: chrome rallys
Post a pic of your truck from the side and I will photoshop the rims on for you (as best I can). Actually if you have a pic from the front driver's side it might work better since that is the way the rim is facing in your picture.

I kept the silver rallys my truck came with so I can change up the look pretty easily when I get "bored" with my "generic" chrome rallys. All 4 silvers I have are 10x15 so I am keeping my eyes opened for some 8" for the front. Anybody in the Northeast want to trade? Like anything with these trucks, to each his own. Mark

Re: chrome rallys
thanks but truck is in the body shop as my 16yr old daughter took a trip through a cornfield
new front fender repair dented hood where battery bounced up (it was bolted down but not good enough) new tie rods new fuel tank gauge (don't know if that was coincident) didn't really hurt the new paint and most important, didn't hurt my daughter (did scare the crap out of her though) |

Re: chrome rallys
This is the closest I could find to your truck so I put the rims on it. The picture is really too small to show them very well.

Re: chrome rallys
How 'bout this? I personally like them better then the stock ralleys on this truck. If this is your truck, you might want to think about tinting the windows, I think that would make it look even better. Sweet truck either way.

Re: chrome rallys
That's just the look I'm after. Every car I've had for the last 15 years has tint on it. I kind of like the clear look.... my Vintage Air works real well too Thanks! |

Re: chrome rallys
I just installed 17" chrome rallys with the normal vette cap. They do lack a little of the class of the silver with trim ring look, but I dig 'em. I don't think they look quite right on a stock height or 4x4 type truck.
I was incredibly pleased with Wheel Vintiques ( www.wheelvintiques.com ). Bought them through Summit, heard they take like 5 weeks to arrive, got them in 3 days. Awesome.

Re: chrome rallys
xmitsu10 Hey ,,you don't have to change nothin'. That truck looks perfect, the way it is. If people don't like the looks of your wheels, that's their opinion-who cares! I wish my old truck looked that good. It doesn't matter what you do to it,,everybody has different tastes. Some people will not like it. They are obviously WRONG,but what are ya going to do?Ha-Ha-ha-KB
