I don't have any pics of mine, nor can I get any reasonably quickly, but my A/C is on the passenger side of the engine...my overflow bottle isn't original (at least I doubt it is) but I believe it was a dealer-installed-option anyway...it's on the core support on the far driver's side. My (nonfunctional, heh) washer bottle is on the driver's side, near the front of the truck.
Edit: Is that a remote solenoid? It looks like it might be sitting in one of the holes for the washer bottle. I threw mine on the other fender, right near the battery...

I have an old plastic oil bottle as a radiator overflow so can't help you there, but my washer bottle is original, you can just see it tucked away behind the drivers side headlight. Too dark and wet here to go outside and get a better pic at the moment.

Other side.
The overflow bottle was a dealer installed item, and placed where ever they felt like putting it. I have seen washe bottles in many places and referd to as original, but the passenger side fender seems to be the most frequently seen. |

A good tip for cleaning your original washer bottle up is to use normal biological clothes washing detergent. Soak it overnight in a strong hot solution, a bit of a scrub next day, rinse and you'll have a washer bottle that looks great, technique works well on other plastic parts such as rear light lenses etc. Mine looked like crap and now looks almost like new!

This is a response to an old thread, but it
is my stock engine compartment from my 1970 C10. The only mod is the power brakes, and it has 125K original miles.

Holy Smokes, Dano. I took one look at your pic and I said to myself, "Who the hell cleaned my engine?". I'm looking to paint my truck orange too, and still deciding, but I like Tangier. Your truck looks damn fine in it. When I get some paint on my '70 GM maybe I'll tool on down with some local members and we can have an international meeting. Some of us would have to sneak over the border tho. (j/k)

After painting my truck I removed the inner
fender wells and sprayed it all black. It really made the rest of the motor look a heck of a lot better. New hoses, and a new alternator helps too!! That would be cool southpa!! Hope we can all get together sometime this summer!!!
