WIW - not original 396
Hey guys, I picked up a 1969 short fleet a couple of months ago with the intention of doing an LQ4 conversion.
The previous owner had it set up with a 396, however, the truck is not an orignal 396 truck. The engine runs very well, and likely modified. I don't really care to strip her down to find out what's been done. So when I sell, what's a fair asking price for a great running 396 of unknown origin and modifications? Thanks! |

Re: WIW - not original 396
If you can verify the mileage and build parts you will get a higher price. Other wise most will only pay for a rebuildable core, plus all of the BB brackets are extra. I would think$750. is a good price for a complete eng.
