new guy with a '66
new guy here with a new to me '66.
Its rusty, but close to original, small window, long bed, 250 six cylinder, three on the tree. Everything seems to work except the brakes and the am radio. Still has the skinny bias belted tires, a couple even hold air overnight. The paper option tag is still in the glove box. It has 4 options listed: thrift heater, heavy duty clutch, heavy duty rear springs, and rv junior mirrors. The delco tach on the steering column must be a dealer installed accesory? I see some really incredible fabrication work on some of the trucks on this site. This one is going to stay more original looking though. We need it to do "truck work" around the house and yard. Gonna start by completely rebuilding the drum brakes, new lines, hoses, everything. |

welcome.. that looks just like my 65 when I got it, I needed it for the same eason! I needed a truck
 , so same deal its a stocker that I use... my 61....well lets just say thats a different story.

Thanks for the interest.
It has taken awhile to have anything new to post. Here is what I spent some $ on. Gonna try a complete overhaul on the drum brakes first. New pre-bent lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake shoes and hardware. |
