Question Leaf Springs

Is there any difference in the leafs on a 70 and on a 72? As long as they measure the same, they should be inerchangable. Right?
Thanks

Mario
I was looking up the interchange book. Far as it is concerned it looks like if they are they same number of leafs, they should exchange. They have the same part number anyways.
The only comment they made is that not all say C20's will interchange with a C10 model. I would assume if they are the same number of leaves, or say both from a c20 they should work. 69-72 use the safe model number depending on the number of leaves in the package.

Thanks Bill.
Does your book mention going from a C20 to a K20. That is where the swap would be made.
Thanks,
Mario

Far as I can see Mario the book only mentions 4wd with a 5 leaf spring and it mentions them with the same number. I will assume that if they have the same number of leaves and other demensions seem to match then they should work. I would double check my measurement on where the axle sits on the leaf and any arch difference you might see. But I would tend to think, by the book they will work.

The 4x4 trucks and Longhorns (69-72 at least) have 2 1/2" wide springs while the 2 wheel drive trucks have 2 1/4" wide springs, so the swap won't work.
