1982 Chevrolet Suburban C2500 3/4 ton 2wd no engine or trans
$500-Solid truck, the maroon paint is the original paint, no rust except for three or four very small pin holes behind rear wheel. The doors on this truck are very nice, only one (passenger side rear) scrape spot about 1/8" deep, 1/2 " wide and 6" long. Not even any door dings on the other three doors. The driver fender is very nice, the pass fender has two easily fixed dings, and the hood has two dents on the front passenger edge. The full floater rear axle shown in the pics has been sold. The radiator and hydroboost brake booster have been sold. The truck now has a 9 1/2" C clip rear axle under it so that it can be moved. It has a traditional vacuum power brake booster installed. The truck was originally 6.2 diesel/ 700 r4 truck. It now has no engine or trans. Maroon bench vinyl front seat needs cover, second seat good, no 3rd seat. Has rear AC, power windows and locks that all worked when parked. Very good tilt steering column with keys. Recently replaced u joints. Shocks pulled for another truck. One chip in windshield all other glass perfect. Clear Texas title in hand. The truck has a nice 86 model grille and headlight rings. I believe I still have the 82 grille and headlight rings in the barn. The stainless steel mirrors are in very very good condition. The truck is in Leander, Tx NW of Austin.

Re: 1982 Chevrolet Suburban C2500 3/4 ton 2wd no engine or trans
The factory tint on the rear windows did a good job of preserving the plastic on the rear door panels. They are not sun baked, but not perfect either. They are slightly faded, but I will include both pieces of lower carpet, door handle trims, ash trays, window switches, arm rests and door lock pulls. I am asking $50 + shipping due to size.

Re: 1982 Chevrolet Suburban C2500 3/4 ton 2wd no engine or trans
The passenger side front door panel has never been off, and I haven't had the driver front door panel off in about 15 yrs, when replacing the electric window motor, so everything should be good. I am not sure what you mean by the door inserts... It has been a while since I had the panels off a 73-87 truck.
Front door panels are faded pretty badly, but I will include all pieces including two good door pull straps, 3 good plastic strap anchor covers (I have the fourth, but the little plastic clip that holds it on the door panel broke off), bottom carpet, power window and lock switches, door lock pulls, nice arm rests and map pockets. $50 shipped due to size Last edited by WIDESIDE72; 12-10-2008 at 10:47 PM. |

Re: 1982 Chevrolet Suburban C2500 3/4 ton 2wd no engine or trans
$20 for grille + $20 shipping to 92345 ( I would have to buy a box.) BTW, this grille is for a 86 Custom Deluxe, which had the parking lights mounted in the bumper like the 82. I think around 84 or so, Chevy started putting the parking lights in the grille on Silverados. This grill does not have provisions to mount parking lights. In other words, it could be used in any 82-83, or 84+ Custom Deluxe as a direct swap. i also have the headlight trim rings, but forgot to take pics (duh). They are newer than the grill. I picked up the grill in the 90's because I liked the look better than the stock 82 grill and had to buy the 85 style Silverado 4 headlight trim rings. I would take $20 for them, and no additional shipping charge if you bought them and the grill. the grill has two of the bottom mounting tabs broken off, but no other cracks. I do not have the bowtie emblem any longer.

Re: 1982 Chevrolet Suburban C2500 3/4 ton 2wd no engine or trans
Dang... I was looking to get two front doors with power and a Driver's side fender but I'm not sure that I want to drive to Leander, TX for them. If you decide to ship these three pieces before any parts on them go missing, I'm game for a quote.
Also, I'm getting married this summer in Houston (goin where my mother is) and I may be able to convince my future wife to let me meet you in Houston or the West side of Houston while we are there. Feel free to pm me. I sincerely doubt I can get out to Leander, Tx but I can meet you in Houston or pay shipping if it isn't an arm and a leg. I'd like to beat the local price here at the junkyard if I can. Thanks. |

Re: 1982 Chevrolet Suburban C2500 3/4 ton 2wd no engine or trans
I forgot to ask, does it have an anti-slip differential in the back? I don't remember what my bolt pattern is on my rims but I'd like to get an axle that doesn't slip when I start a load.

I will also not be selling any parts that would make the truck unable to be moved, such as wheels/ tires, axles, front suspension, steering column Last edited by N2TRUX; 05-14-2009 at 08:29 PM. |
