Finished Step One
Finally finished step one of the rebuid of my sons 67. I am a begginer at working on trucks and he just turned 15. We put disc brakes up front with 2.5 inch dropped spindles and 4 in lower rear springs. We got all the parts from ECE. I would like to thank the crew there for their help. Stan, Mark and Jeff thanks alot. I ended up buying a 1970 long bed to rob some parts from. Mainly the rearend for now. As we got into the project I found out the rearend in the 67 was from a 63.
This winter we are pulling the 350 from the 70 and rebuilding it for the 67. I am including before and after pics. It is still pretty rough, but we are just starting. Thanks for the help I have gotten on here. [IMG][/IMG] |

Re: Finished Step One
Looking good, definitely needed that attitude adjustment!
He's a lucky kid, but it's great to have that father/son project. Best of luck with the rest of the rebuild!

Re: Finished Step One
I would have, but they are 6 lug and we switched to 5 lug. Thats my son in the first pic. The other shows that we don't need not stinkin T to spell Chevrolet. Actually we are missing the little stamped nut that holds it on.

Re: Finished Step One
The wheels are some cheap Cragars that we got from Summit. They were like $48.00 each. We got them just until he can afford some 18's.

Re: Finished Step One
I like it, and the wheels are cool. Too bad you couldn't keep the old slots though. The new stance looks nice. And yes, please post up tire/wheel specs when you get a chance

Re: Finished Step One
Tires are 275/60/15 wheels are 15x8 with 3.5 in. backspacing. Part # for wheels are CRR-3655850 on the Summit website. They were $49.99 each.
We found a 67 C20 here locally so we can get the right fenders for the 67. If we can get it we will use the whole front clip because it is way better shape than ours. |
