Is all carpeting alike?
Ok...I am lookng for my Carpeting that I bought and stored a number of years ago. So far no luck. If I do need to buy new carpeting...is the carpeting sold by our Vendors all the same quality? Since my truck will becoming out of a twelve month resto...cheap is not what I have in mind. Yes I want competitive priced carpet if I have to buy but cheap qulaity is not what I am looking for. Sooooo who makes the better quality carpeting? Thanks

Re: Is all carpeting alike?
Mine is from ACC....Auto Custom Carpets. It used to be advertised as "Jack Holland's Auto Custom Carpets", but he sold it. I put some in my '67 Firebird, back in '83. It fit well and looked good. What I have (yet to install) for my '69 is also from ACC.

Re: Is all carpeting alike?
I used ACC in my 71 and have replaced it once already! It fades and does not hold its color very well- before you say well driving, sun, etc.- it is in garage 24-7 and covered, has less than 500 total miles since restoration completed in Dec.2002 blah blah blah. Stay away from them as it does not hold up very well at all. I am using trim parts carpet in the 4x4 and we shall see how it does. But IMO ACC is not very good quality carpet. Harold

Re: Is all carpeting alike?
I've got ACC's carpet in my 69 K20. It is their charcol graphite or something like that. I've had zero fade and I know for sure as I have the seats out right now. However, it just isn't outside too much so I would be surprised if it had faded. Seems to be holding up very well but the truck only gets driven about once a week when it is driveable. Hasn't been driveable since March though. I put the carpet in in about May of 2005.
