Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
Nice looking SWB BB Cheyenne Super on Ebay.
Notice the rookie was trying to hide the documenatation of it originally being a long-bed (model 10934). The Wheel-Base figure looks like it was covered over with a photo touch-up program. The rookie didn't know enough to hide the model number. This truck can stand on it's own, no need to use deception! I asked the owner a question through Ebay about the wheel-base and have not yet heard back. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...1%7C240%3A1318 |

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
saw that yesterday, wow that thing is optioned out and good colors to boot. like you said, it can certainly stand on it's own even being a long truck. i don't think i've ever seen all the options on one truck. definately not your average cheyenne super.

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
Somebody in Cincy should drive up and check out the frame on it...see if it was cut down.
Might have cobbled together a few trucks to make one - and didn't do the legwork to know what mode the SWB trucks are... |

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
I've seen them listed as both cheyenne super and cheyenne super sport, just the way they did things. I can't believe somebody wouldn't buy a repo glovebox sticker or something to at least make it appear to be a shortbox.

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
I agree a sharp looking truck,, way more than my budget.. but if he is covering up the fact that it indeed was a longbed, and changed to short,, what else is he covering up??? frame off restro looks great, but maybe not a "rare" as he says? I dont like dealing with "horsetraders"

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
Isn't it fairly rare to see a shortbed super? (I know this one isn't one).

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
Not that I want to right now,but I'd sell my truck for $35,000.It's insured with hagerty's for $40,000.I just had my 72' GMC 3/4 lwb sierra Grande, custom camper with the BB,with lots of options with Ground up rotisserie restoration done in immaculate showroom condition with 67,000 origional miles,I know what it takes to do the restoration the right way,but this is a poor excuse of a restoration for $35,000.

To me they have advertised this truck as an factory original swb 6' bed truck. That alone is deceptive and dishonest in advertising...unless he bought the truck for a fast flip and it was already shortened and they didn't know it. But then again...if they did the resto...they would have to see where the truck was cut. JMHO

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
read very carefully, this is how they get you for saying they are dishonest, but they are not.
he lists all the options...factory this, factory that... then he ends the sentence... Factory Tach, and it has a 6ft bed. he never actually states that its a factory 6ft bed. its just understood that way. thats how he will get most people. not worth the price, but definatly a sweet lookin truck.

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
I just spoke with the owner and he claims he did not know it used to be a long-bed. He apparently was not very happy to learn about the model number not being correct for a SWB. He did say he had around $30k into it and does want to sell it.
I'll bet this truck ends up with a new and improved SPID very soon. |

Re: Ebay SWB BB Cheyenne Super
Quote:
I humbly disagree...when they say at the very beginng: "This original black truck" the would be inclusive to all language that follows this line. The way this is written they would not have to say "factory" anything because at the very begiining of their description they say "original". The word original is exactly what it means...this truck is factory. JMHO It still comes down to this: "Buyer beware". It also amazes me they did a $30K resto and they had no clue it was shortened. When Curt did my frame off (still in process) he would had seen any alterations to the frame so....how did they miss the cut? This could be the case where the ownership and the workers are not on the same page but....to do this type of resto and not know it was shortened at one time???? . Again JMHO.
